I am a visual artist, currently completing my Diploma in Visual Art, at Victoria University, Flinders Campus, Melbourne in 2015.
As an inveterate collector, I use found objects in my art, and to inspire me. My visual diaries, are a record of my daily journeys. They record, and sometimes act as a repository of my found objects.
My artistic practice in 2014,
was the use of the found object, specifically sea washed detritus, abandoned industrial sites and discarded minutiae of everyday life.
In 2015 I am embracing the use of children’s discarded toys, superceded board games and outmoded forms of entertainment.Recently I have begun a series of Meccano oil paintings based on the toy construction sets of my childhood.
